+1...whatever route you and your doctors decide to go, make sure to follow through with any rehab or workout plan your docs put you on. Also, if you can, after you resolve this situation with your knee, I'd try and join a gym (or perhaps you can use the one at your school) and start a workout program that incorporates strengthening the muscles around your knee (talk to your doc about his before you do anything).

I have a HealthRider & Treadmill at my disposal.

The PT I went through did help for a little bit, so my knee's better than it could be.

I meant starting a weight training program. As I stated earlier, when I started incorporating weight training (especially squats and deadlifts), I found that helped a lot with my knee by strengthening the muscles around the knee.

Of course I'd ask your doctor before starting any of this. And if you do, I'd do a lot of research/try and find someone to teach you proper technique.

As a side note, I'm a big proponent of weight lifting. Really helps with the wear and tear of the season. Especially during the off season, I'm doing heavy bench, deadlifts, squats, pullups, etc.

I could do something similar with the HealthRider by adding additional weights to it, as the HealthRider uses your own weight for resistance (also any additional weight added).

I have more strength in my legs than I do my arms as at most that I can lift with my arms via weight training would be only about 75 lbs.
