Quickly...

Most of my injuries related to sports (R shoulder-surgery, R knee-surgery, L quad-tear-rest, numerous sprains strains of ankles/knees/R shoulder) happened with me as a participant. My one work injury, which is why I'm benched until I'm fixed, is my back.

I haven't been hurt officiating, but I've not been doing it long enough to have had it possibly happen either.

P.S. I'm currrently battling daily constant pain. One is a diagnosed facial pain, the second is my back injury, and third is a semi-diagnosed L shoulder problem.

I suggest you not blast me for him. We're not the same person. I'm going to be a official by next season, but missed getting my test in for this year. I played & know the rules. I was scouted by college scouts too, but I will not discuss that here at this time. How many us as officials & upcoming officials actually played the game? It's not a requirement as a official, but you understand things better as having been on both sides of the fence. I've even had the interest in coaching too, mainly in XC, Track, & Basketball. I assist some w/ the XC team from time to time as well.

I,, however, am not posting all the time about every little thing, like some are trying to claim. In some of those "fairy tale" postings you're claiming, I'm asking questions for clarification as well as posting right out of the rulebook.

How else is a person supposed to learn unless they get involved in the conversation?

I will point out that just because you're a former player does not mean you'll be a better official for it. Just because you played the game also doesn't mean you know the rules. Players think they know the rules, but as an official you have got to KNOW the rules...inside and out, backwards and forwards. It is in this aspect that being a former player can hurt an aspiring official because they'll skip section of the rule book they THINK they know.

What types of injuries have occurred to you or that you've seen occur to others?
I get a headache just reading the threads that you start.

Actually, you've started 62 threads in a little over the year you've been here.

I've started 125 in the 11 years I've been here.

just saying...

Finally a solution concerning my left knee has been found thanks to X-Rays & CAT Scans, not only is there narrowing joint space in the knee but there's also a bone spur growing into one of the tendons/ligaments.

Gonna going in for arthroscopic surgery on the 14th.

Meaning you can be a "floor" official next season?
