While I agree that this would be correct by the letter of the law, I dont think it is fair to penalize the intercepting team for getting pushed out of the endzone after making a good play.

At least in Mens softball that I have ever seen over the last 15 odd years. I took a few years off and came back a couple years ago to work as an umpire in a league run by a city park/rec department....

For clarification I do SP and predominately Adult leagues. I call time when the defensive team has possesion of the ball in the infield and when there are no players attempting to advance.
