I can only second what cmatt has said. This is NOT a copout. Even if you can hit your FTs, I want the ball back and a chance to score again if I am down. I'll give you two for the chance ot hit a...

Smitty
In effect, you have said the same thing as Dan. If you are talking heels over the FT line, it doesn't create the huge advantage that the rule is trying to prevent. Being 14.9 feet from the...

Head coach needed to understand that he has to shut this guy up at this point. I had a mouthy (former) assistant who was hard to shut up, but would if the ref said something and I turned and told...

It was correctable, but there was a change of possession in between the error and its correction. Therefore, the way you correct the error is to allow A to shoot the FT with the lane cleared, then...

Dan
Kicking the ball is a violation - it need not go OOB. So it causes the throw-in to end with an instant violation. Touching the ball is not a violation. If you touch the ball and deflect it...

Re: a little confused
Cloverdale
The ball is dead when the horn sounds to end a period, unless a try has been released. If a try has already left the hand, the ball remains live until the try ends. The try ends when it...

Smitty
For another example of a non-try counting as a score, you can have A1 shoot at Team B's basket. If A1's throw goes through, it counts for B, but it is not a try. If it happens outside B's...

However, you clearly can achieve...
