The runners(all) are forced to advance once the ball was put in play. The rule book I have says nothing about only the BR and R1 being allowed to advance due to being forced. It say "runnerS"...

So you would consider this just like the SS fielding the ball and throwing the ball to 3 and getting R2 out on a force therefor R3 can return to 3rd i.e. rundown.

Maybe thats a new "myth" that needs to be exploited. I think the BALL is part of your hand which is totally different than the HANDS being part of the BAT.

Sorry for the confusion. Yes that is what I was trying to state. R3=runner at third R2=2nd R1-first base runner. So the answer is NO, R2 can not retouch homeplate after R1 has scored.
