Easy. It was a baseball game.

Ahhh...ye had a forfeit. Don't tell me you drove an hour and had to declare a forfeit? I hate those situations, though I haven't had it happen yet.

The only way to score 1 point in a game is a forfeit.

Surprised not to have heard from JugglingReferee or one of the others...

I grew up in Canada, where a punt through the end zone will give the team 1 point - a Rogue. I think it is awarded anytime the American rules would award a TB (but I'm not sure about that - I don't know the Canadian rules that well anymore)

Not under NCAA rules. There is a 1 point safety.

However, I don't think a game could end up 1-0 since the 1 point safety assumes a try.

OK, I utilized a search engine available on our college's student/faculty portal, and came up with something I think that will knock your socks off as far as forgettable/unforgettable games. The search revealed an article from the USA Today on October 28, 2004, describing a very unusually high scoring 8-man game in Arizona. The score: Seligman 116, Queen Creek Canyon State Academy 108. That was all in regulation. Seligman had 1,001 yards of total offense, while Queen Creek had 863. How would you have liked to work that one???
