At full speed, it seems rather obvious to me that Bosh gets a crapload of body blocking that shot.

At slo mo it's much more obvious
Freeze it at 22 - going straight up, looks good so far. Freeze it at 23, body contact already, shooter went straight up, Bosh did not and is moving into the shooter at decent speed. At 24, shooter, having been mugged, is flying out of bounds - and certainly not due to his own body motion, which was straight up before the contact.
All the freezing is great, but bottomline is that Bosh blocked that shot first and the amount and type of contact that ensue did not rise to the level of a foul. I would no-call that in a HS varsity game and in my college games.

1) great no call, ball should have come back to SA though
2) tough play, ok with no call, probably would have been fine with a foul too
3) good no call, it looks like a lot of contact, but most of Green's backward motion is due to the force of the shot being blocked like it was, not body contact.

1. Play one was reviewed and overturned. The ball was given back to San Antonio.

How about the hellacious illegal screen on the primary defender before the shooter got the ball in the third clip?

1. Good no call. They corrected the OOB and gave it to SA.
2. Good no call. I know in NBA that's not a travel, but man did he cover a lot of ground without dribbling!
3. Good no call.

That screen didn't approach the level of the screen LBJ made earlier in the series - and THAT one had people disagreeing. I don't think this was an illegal screen at all (or a travel as noted above).

Red face

Sinking a few free throws makes this all moot. That being said. Too much contact by the screener to free up Green to initiate the NBA travel. Don't understand no whistle by L, T, or C on that.

1. Nothing.
2. Foul, Allen, for the same reasons Cam stated.
3. Nothing, clean.

Regarding the Bosh block, I'm going with the minority here. The body contact occurred before the block. Usually, that results in a foul call.

I'm more of an interested fan during the playoffs where they tend to play the whole 48 minutes.

It seems the purity of the NBA left when Detroit's Bad Boys play affected the way the game was played in the past.

That and the special treatment given to Michael Jordon. PR took the place of real fairness in the game giving some teams an unfair advantage.

I would like to hear the opinions of you basketball junkies on my points, even if you disagree. Any added opinions are fine too.

I think you are buying into media hype.

Peace

Except for the 48 minutes of play, I agree with you. During the regular season, too many players/teams mail it in. Particularly in the late season where you see teams tanking on purpose to increase their draft odds. How is that sport?

Seems to me you're claiming the officials were intentionally cheating in favor of Jordan.

If you want to see intense competition, watch the Stanley Cup finals, in fact, the entire Stanley Cup Tournament. Sixty minutes of action, night, after night, after night.

I would agree if I liked hockey........but it is the time they don't look for any reason to fight, or the goons don't get ice time. I've never been a fan of two halftimes, but at least they skate sudden death overtime..

The NBA of the 90's was so watered down with mediocre teams, I guarantee you owners didn't want to see their cash cow sitting on the bench in foul trouble. Nor did they want to see him shooting 4-17 from the field with only 4 foul shot attempts.

Remember it took the greatest player "ever" 7 years to play on a championship team in the NBA. Not to mention his basketball owner letting him go play AA baseball for two years at one of White Sox MiLB affiliates amid rumors of gambling.

I'm not saying cheating, but the rules got bent plenty of times.
