Where are Big East guys?

No Higgins, Burr or Kal (Cahill)? Have they fallen out of good graces?

Cahill has the final. John Higgins, too. I love watching Cahill work. Wymer, too.

If you're referring to Tim Higgins, Ace, he retired in November.

Mike Eades is the alternate for both games tonight.

So that leaves John Cahill, Tony Greene, and John Higgins for the final?

Which means Mike will be the alternate on Monday night also.

Do they still have the game officials leave town immediately after doing their game? That never made much sense to me.

Yes officials once done with their game, head home right after words. It is due to the NBA gambling issue with one of their (NBA) former referees. The NCAA shortly after that situation instituted a new stricter policy for their tournament officials.

That policy was in place before the Donaghy betting incident.

Thanks for the clarification BadNewsRef. I thought it was instituted because of Donaghy. I was not aware of that is was effect before hand.

The NCAA has been dealing with betting issues long before that case even was known by the public. Remember the NCAA had betting scandals with Northwestern, Arizona St. and Boston College before Donaghy.

Peace
