Mechanics Question
Does anyone use the mechanic of reporting the number of the offending players to the bench with the hand closest to the division line? Or is someone blowing smoke up my ...?

Never heard of such a thing.
The ONLY official mechanic which is related to using a specific hand relative to the division line is when the trail (2-man) is counting 10 seconds on a FT and chopping time in on a FT.

Sounds like someone found something they do and tried to put that off on everyone else.
Peace

I am still trying to make sure my 3 attempt signal is with my "trail" hand, but sometimes it just doesn't happen that way. I don't beat myself up about it, however, I am doing it *most* of the time. Sounds like a "try this because it works for me" suggestion.

I always stop the clock with my right hand. I've tried to get myself to use my left hand when appropriate, but I haven't been successful yet.
Three point attempts I signal with... ummm.... whatever hand I was counting with at the time. I think. I really haven't thought about it. The tip I got from one of my association clinicians... when counting in the backcourt, use the "outside" arm. That way the counting hand doesn't impact your vision. |

As for reporting fouls. Come to a complete stop. Use 1 hand. Verbally report the whole number to the person at the table wearing the striped shirt ![]() DO NOT twist NOR pulse/pump the hand for the 2nd number! ![]() Last edited by Zoochy; Sat Jan 05, 2013 at 01:17pm. |

This only happens when The Chippendale's keep score. Or when Larry Flint hosts a tournament and supplies the table personnel.
