I do that but clinicians have suggested to use the arm/hand closest to the table. Naaaaah, I use outside arm.
As for reporting fouls. Come to a complete stop. Use 1 hand. Verbally report the whole number to the person at the table wearing the striped shirt . Give the same hand signal when you called the foul. Indicate free throws and then briskly move to your position.
DO NOT twist NOR pulse/pump the hand for the 2nd number!
