No. You'd have to provide more details to have an INT foul.

For example, if the defender was chasing down an opponent from behind and pushed in in the back, that would be an INT foul.

But if a defender was juked, the dribbler beats him and there's just a hand in the back similiar to a handcheck, you shouldn't call an INT foul.

It looked to me like a frustration hit it the back. I thought all push/hits to the back were automatically int because of neck injury risks. That was what a few guys, including some vets, told me. Seems like I have to spo believing everything everyone treks me haha. Thanks. I let the other official take it because he was the lead and closer.

The pushes in the back you are envisoning are most of the time intentional due simply to the fact that if you're pushing an opponent in the back, they're probably in a pretty advantageous position, and by pushing them, an opponent trying anything to make sure they don't score with that advantage (a la neutralize an opponent's advantage). Also, a push in the back has a greater change of causing excessive contact versus other fouls.

First of all there is no such "provision" in the rules. And you must define what you mean by "push in the back." I do not consider these only with players who use their hands. Players can push someone (or charge as that is the signal) and not do it with their hands or arms. You could have a player do that and try to play the ball and not knock the person down. Even if they do, it is not an "automatic" at all.

Peace
