Long story short.....
When my son played in a rec league, we had a small point guard who would fake contact all the time (both offensively and defensively). I tried to talk him out of it, but it got to be a bad habit. He rarely if ever got the call.
Then, I started reffing his league as he got older and I would tell him - son, no flopping today or I'll be calling it..... Now, he's 16, stopped playing ball, and I'm happy to say he's a petty darn good referee! Wonder what he'll do when he comes across it?  PS - I've never called it yet.
