The official who stopped the game must still get confirmation immediately from the player he is OK and will remain in the game. Once that confirmation is received then grant TO to either team.
If the player does not reply then I as referee will make the decision he must be replaced whether coach comes onto the court or not. And even though team B may request a TO first it may not be granted until Team A replaces injured player or requests a TO to keep him in the game. (Saves Team B a TO) |

As stated, the player doesn't have to come out. If the player wants to leave, then you need their replacement to enter the game before the timeout is granted.
Otherwise, if the player is staying in the game then the timeout may be granted. 3.3.6 Situation B |
