I just said a prayer for Kassidy and your entire family! I will do so everyday and hope you have good news to share with us soon. My wife had cancer almost 6 years ago and is doing well now so I know the stress of waiting. We have girls who are 13 and 10 and it is amazing how mature they became during the years we have delt with cancer. Good things come out of everything that occurs in our life and the closeness and strength of your family will be the first thing you will notice during this tough time.
Our neighbor girl had the same thing you are describing and it turned up to be benign. I will be praying for the same for Kassidy. God bless you during this difficult time! Last edited by MJT; Sun Mar 25, 2007 at 10:23pm. |

We had the CT scan done today, A bone scan, lots of bloodwork. She did not get to drink the liguid that would show anything in her stomach kidneys etc, insurance would not approve just yet. The doctors are sending us to a specialist in Richmond VA Thursday to do a biospay?? of what they think could be a tumor on her knee.We will have results from todays test Tuesday.
Guys thanks for the words of encourgment, Kass liked that and the e-mails we will respond back to each one soon. Thanks again and Ill update soon.

I've been away from the board for a while, and so I'm just reading this thread tonight. I too have a 12 year old daughter, named Kassandra. I can only imagine what you must be going through right now. You, your daughter, and the rest of your family will be in my prayers as well.
Our family has had its share of illness and hospitalizations. No cancer, fortunately, but some just as life-threatening. Prayer and a little faith can work miracles, not just for the one who is ill, but for the others who are trying to cope. Let us know when you know more, please.
