My daughter will be 12 this month. I cannot even imagine what you must be feeling. This latest news must be extremely disappointing. On May 3rd Kassidy had surgery to have her right leg above her knee amputated.On May 5th in Richmond the Dr did Bone scans, MRI and a CT scan. Those test showed 5 spots on her lungs,1 spot on her right rib cage and on her left knee also.We came back to Roanoke Va . On May 14th thru May 19th,she received 5 days of chemo. On May 30th she started chemo again and will receive treatments for 5 straight days.We will have the same test run again to see if the chemo has effected the tumors any,the 1st time it did not. I can't imagine how you must be feeling, or her, but please know that you have been and will continue to be in my prayers. I wish I had a magic word to make it better but no such words exist. I am sure that there are plenty of people around you who would love to help you and support you all. I hope you will let them. Please, keep us posted on her condition. RR

I'm sorry to hear that Kassidy is still having trouble with the cancer. I know that the loss of a limb can be devastating to anyone, let alone a young girl with a gymnastics background. My prayers are with her. Please tell Kassidy that she doesn't need to wear the baseball cap as she is a beautiful little girl.

I know that you have placed your faith in God's plan. Although we don't always understand why He has placed such a burden on a little one's shoulders, Kassidy's brave fight is touching the lives of many people who have never met her. I'm sure that Dominique Dawes will remember her visit with Kassidy as fondly as Kassidy does herself.

Please let Kassidy know that we are all pulling for her to get better real soon.

It was a punch in the stomach to read the news this morning. I know that words cannot express comfort, but the Lord has sent the Comforter and I know that He is with you in your sorrow.

I'm so sorry to hear this news. I told my wife; she cried and we both hugged our own little girl that much harder. I hope that the many messages that were left on Kassidy's Page (and I left a couple) were of some comfort to her through her illness.
