Then are you saying this would be a legal pitch? Look very closely at the
pic. Way in front of rubber, slab, whatever, ball still in hand.

My comment was not about the pitch (legal or illegal).

But speaking of that, how can you determine a pitch legal or illegal by a snapshot from above?

Even given what you said above - when do you expect her to release the ball?

Yes, this is a legal pitch

Based on the umpire calls I've seen over the years including ASA Nationals 18A, NSA Nationals 12U, PONY Nationals 12U, this is a legal pitch, no question. Why go from 12 to 18. Because the kid is that good. But, you umpires need to get real. There is absolutely no way that the pitcher in the picture is lllegal. Somewhat about 0.4% of umpires will call this illegal. And on the next identical pitch, they will not call it illegal.

What happened Ed, got tired of getting your @$$ kicked in ASA so you went trophy hunting in NSA and PONY? Get your butt out here and umpire. Anybody can coach. Let's see if you can umpire.

It looks damning, doesn't it ? But, the stop frame doesn't tell you if she replants at this point, or if it is a still frame of her continuing (and, therefore, legal) drag.

Check the video link SRW posts on the question about the "out of box" call; go to 2:10, where Robin Mackin comes in the game. They make her take off her watch and Livestrong, BTW.

In my opinion, it is a borderline (therefore legal) drag, at best; I can see no replant in live speed, even the side view during her warm-up. And, here I am, the guy someone on this board calls the ASA person who imagines replants that don't exist.
