Where was the QB when he was drilled? If he was in the endzone, then penalize from the goal line(end of run), 15 yards. If he was in the field of play, penalize from the spot of the foul.

I agree with the comments above. I haven't done basketball in many years, but I started with football. I agree that basketball is more difficult to officiate mainly because of the flow of the game....
