I don't understand your post Sloth. THe original post was an effort by a school to make sure they were following the rules regarding logos. None of the responsive posts indicated that they would enforce this rule to the letter. So what "guys" are you talking about?

There is no penalty for this rule not having the field without these markings (at least none I am aware of). The NF just wants to limit where and how there are markings on the field.

What perked my frustration was a previous poster that mantioned complementing an AD on their new field only to next tell them that it is "illegal". I understand the idea that the NFHS has to define the specific technical aspects of the field color/logos/uniform color requirements. But I will tell you that I'd never mention an "infraction" to an AD on a logo covering the 50 yard line. My argument is that we as officals have enought to think about and deal with during games...wasting time/though and effort on an issue like a mid-field logo covering yard lines is only a distraction that need not ever arise.
