Logos on uniforms

Been rereading the rules/regulations concerning uniforms, & noticed that a local team has a logo on the back of the jersey thanks to local media. What's the rule/regulation concerning this?

The following is 3-4-2:

ART. 2 . . . Logos/flags/patches shall adhere to the following:
a. A visible manufacturer's logo/trademark/reference is not permitted on the team jersey.
b. The American flag may be worn anywhere on the team jersey provided it does not exceed 2 x 3 inches & does not interfere with the visibility of the
player's number.
c. One commemorative/memorial patch may be worn on the jersey. The patch shall not exceed 4 square inches, shall not be a number & must be located above the neckline or in the side insert.
d. A school or conference logo/mascot may be located at the apex/opening of the neckline.

I see above (3-4-2d) that a school or conference logo is allowed at the apex/opening of the neckline, however the logo I am seeing is located on the back of the jersey above the numbers, approximately the same location of the neckline, if not an inch or 2 lower.

You've answered your own question. An advertiser's logo is not a school or conference logo.

A local HS team? In interscholastic competition? And the logo says something akin to "Channel 2 News?"

Lah me.

Your mission, Zoochy, should you decide to accept it, is to memorize those rules and show up before the beginning of all my games to tell me when I screw up a uniform issue. And bring a ruler. As always, should you be caught or killed, the secretary will disavow any knowledge of your actions. This post will self-destruct in five seconds. Good luck, Zoochy.

When I mean thanks to local media, this is how I discovered the logo, I'm used to seeing the school or conference logo on the apex/opening of neckline or on the shorts/skirt, not on the back of the jerseey in the location of where the name would be located.

The back of the jersey must be the same as the front torso. If the logo on the back is below the front neck line than they are illegal.

Ok, another interesting question for everyone.

Let's say the logo on the back starts in the neckline area but extends below the plane into the torso area, how should this be treated?

I do have a copy of the logo in question, but am unable to post it on here due to it not being a hyperlink.

I think you should buzz the horn and bring it to the refs attention. Preferably right as a player goes up for a three or drives the lane.

It is handled the same as any other illegal uniform situation.

LMAO Aren't illegal uniforms supposed to be noticed before a player goes on the court?

I am not that mean to buzz when a player's making a fast break.

I might not be able to do anything as I might be in the secondary gym when the team plays. Yes this is a team my alma mater plays.

Maybe the player's name was "Pepsi".
