Ron Groover

I noticed Groover worked last night's regional game even though he didn't work a second game last weekend. I was under the assumption officials were paired down by weekend, so when he didn't work last weekend I figured he was not going to advance. I guess this isn't how it works?

The rounds of 64 & 32 officials are determined before the tournament starts. Sweet 16 and Elite 8 officials get chosen based on their performance the first weekend, whether they worked 2 games or 1 game.

Duke Edsall and Tommy Nunez Jr. didn't work a game last weekend, yet worked a regional. That is rare, but not unheard of. I remember that happening to Tom O'Neill and Steve Welmer in previous years.
