He picked up the same violation the night before.

He's the only one that's been called for the violation...and for good reason. He's the only one in the NBA who's even close to approaching 10 seconds...not since Karl Malone have I seen anyone take so long.

Classic......

Many of us here have admitted to never having called this violation, and an NBEer gets its twice in a week?

Bwahahaha!

It's the third time Dwight has been called for it. His first violation came on a Christmas day game. It's not as if the call came as a surprise to Dwight as he and the Orlando Magic have been warned from the League previously that he was taking too long.

Two games in a row ought to serve as a warning for the playoffs. We'll see.

Yep.

On the one on Christmas Day, I think it was like 15 seconds and he didnt even look like he was thinking about starting his shooting motion.

I don't know how long he took with the last 2 violations but for him to still be getting called for this and toss the ball for an easy T afterwards shows his immaturity. It will be interesting to see if this is a message before the playoffs and if he gets that message.

Forget the violation for a bit.

Anyone here ever have a T for throwing the ball away like Howard did?

Most of us I am sure never get close to having to ever call this. I have only been involved in a game once where this was even an issue and my partner called it appropriately. Then every time I see him I give him crap about it (we still find it funny). But that does not mean that he was wrong, just something we never see regularly or even have to fight with ourselves to make this call.

Peace

Was the T for throwing the ball or for something he said? I tend to not just take the media's word for anything in these matters.

Peace

I've had this just once in my career. It's was in the local men's league and I rang him up before the ball made it's second bounce.

Dwight Howard received a technical foul for that toss.

Dwight - thank you for being an idiot and getting your 18th T of the season & getting suspended for your next game.

P.S. We think you're just scared to play us...

The technical was well deserved and any other NBA official would have called it rightfully so. I would have called it. He was pouting and whining like a child. He says he understands and is going to work on not getting technicals and yet does things to get himself technicals. He is either a hypocrit or a liar. And how does it take ten seconds to put up an awful looking free throw? This isn't just fun and games Dwight. This is your career, your profession. I understand it is the game of basketball, but try to make it appear you take it seriously. Unless you don't want to win a Championship and just want to entertain people on the court.
