![]() On a side note, did anyone else see Diebler officiate a game then jump right into the booth to announce the second game? Last edited by tjones1; Fri Mar 16, 2007 at 10:45am. |

"It's not unusual for him to score above his average..."
well, duh!! He's gotta score above his average about half the time! I know, not necessarily, but on the average, most players will play above their average about half the time... sheez... |

wow
yep you are right Juulie.....you know it would actually be pretty incredible to see a kid averaging 16.4 ppg to actually score right on his average wouldn't it LOL....

My favorite so far has been Billy Packer (at least I think it was Packer saying it - all the announcers blend together this time of year). Any time a guy picks up 2 fouls early in the game, or 3 before the half, he states that they HAVE to leave the game. With his conviction, he's all but saying that it's a rule that you have to sit once you reach a certain number of fouls with a certain time left - not that coaches pull players voluntarily.

Billy Packer in the UK/Nova game:
"You can't be in the air and call a timeout. You can have posession and be falling out of bounds and call a timeout, but you can't call one if you're in the air." ![]() Right sentiment, totally wrong application.
