I'm certainly not disputing or questioning anything you have said. But sometimes I wonder about people like this. Are they really just arrogant? Or are they masking some kind of debilitating insecurity? If it's the latter, is there a course of action that this person's partner could take that would genuinely help the situation, without screwing up the game?

I don't have any answers or theories on this, just looking for other's opinions.

Aside from that, stories like this leaving me chanting Mick's Mantra.
