Serenity Prayer

The difference is embodied the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

Although probably not a sports official, Reinhold Niebuhr knew the difference between the acts of coaches and the conduct of spectators.
