My apologies - I wasn't intending to start the old "tie goes to the runner" discussion (+1 bob jenkins). My only point was that in an article that specifically refers to runners going to first base, the citation in the article to 7.01 was incorrect. The correct cite in that specific situation - B/R at 1st, is 6.05j

I agree that the article was one of the better written for non-umpire readers. However, in a forum designed for umpires, I thought a little more accuracy would be appreciated. In response I get "who gives a $hit" and "you're gloriously wrong".
