No. Haven't seen anything yet that contradicts that theory.

First you say you's intervene on an incorrect call that favored your team ("Sure") then you say you'd keep your mouth shut.

Which one is it again?
If I am coaching I ask the umpire for rules interpretations, when I know the correct ruling will help my team. If I know a correct interpretation will help the other team I leave that up to the other coach to ask for the interpretation. This is not complicated.

So, DG, in an "opposite" case when you knew an umpire blew rules call but it FAVORED your team you pointed it out?
Sure. No manipulation, just getting a rule interpreted correctly. Now if I had been the defensive coach, and the offensive coach did not complain, I would not say a word.
So getting a rule correctly isn't your primary motivation then. As long as we're clear on that.

Don't confuse coaching with umpiring. If I am coaching (which I don't do anymore) my motivation is my team, and if getting a proper interpretation helps my team that's good. If if hurts my team I will leave it to the other coach to bring up. If he don't then so be it.
