2 Man mechanic question
Not a blue, but always trying to learn...
Sitch: R1 @ 3B, R2 @ 1B, 1 out. R2 off with the pitch but stops halfway to try to draw a throw/get in a pickle and give R1 a chance to score from 3B. F2 fires down to F4 at 2B and the pickle ensues, eventually R2 is out on a close call @ 2B. Question: At the start of the play, BU was set up behind F6 (C position?). He never moved once the play started and IMO, was not in a good a position to make the call at 2B. Is this the correct mechanic? |

For obviously reasons, PU can only provide an extra set of eyes from a distance.
