Pretty much like any other notation. Could be something like 5-4 and the number 3 circled for the third out on the runner that was retired. The batter that hit the ball reached via FC.

Dakota, nice graphic. I don't care much for horses though, dead or alive. But I understand your point. You should just acknowledge that some umpires have interests on the other side of the backstop [hot moms notwithstanding].
