Found a great Non-Plated Umpire Shoe

Hey guys I was recently in the market for a good slow pitch shoe that is comfortable and of course all black.

I came across a website 3N2 I Softball Cleats, Softball Shoes, Softball Spikes, Softball Turf Shoes, they are coming out with a shoe around December called the Reaction. I have spoke with a sales rep and this shoe will not only be moderatly priced it is supposed to be the best.

Just thought I would share the information

According to the website, the shoes aren't expected to ship until 1/15/09.

Don't know who this company is or how their shoes stand up to others, but I do appreciate that their website has a link specifically for umpires.

I also appreciate the "black on black" style of the shoe. Saves me $ in Sharpies.

Website needs a little bit of work, though... The framework looks good, but the content is in short supply. I'd shore that up pretty quick if I were you, Josh.

Maybe the photo doesn't do the shoe justice, but it kind of looks to me like an umpire earth shoe.

Not bad, but I'll stick with New Balance. Just picked up a pair of triple-wide shoes at Dick's for under $50

Yeah, it's the best according to the sales rep. The sales rep for New Balance probably says the same thing about New Balance...

For what it's worth, 3N2 has a contract to sell a very similar shoe to ASA Properties for umpires sales; it was displayed this week at the ASA Umpire Committee meeting. It would surprise me if this wasn't the same shoe, and that the "umpire" link developed from that.

And, consider me out there as a skeptic, but I also have a strong suspicion we have addressed an ad posting, and that our new member (first post) UmpireJosh is the sales rep, and spoke with himself.

Well, considering the fact that Spot-Bilt is going away, I'm not surprised. Though honestly, I would have preferred New Balance, something more of us are familiar with. It'd be nice to place just one order when ordering gear, instead of one with ASA and another with Honig's (or whomever you prefer as a vendor).

Thus, my comments about fixing up the website. But since it seemed more geared towards an umpiring crowd, I figured I'd give the website a shot. More "subject appropriate" than some of the other more "colorful" posts we've seen here...

(Though hey... Who can argue with boobs? I dig 'em...)

Well of course he is. I never knew there was any doubt.

Now, that I have looked at the shoe it could rank in the top 10 for ugliest of all time also. I know it is not a fashion shoe out there, but really, not a shoe I want to out on my feet.

That is one ugly shoe. It also does not look as attractive and comfortable as the ones players use.

The players that use the 3n2 swear by it as being the most comfortable shoe they have ever used. Of course, they are wearing the top of the line and those ones probably cost a little more than 54 ish bucks.

I just looked at the players shoes- 5995 so for 5 dollars I cannot believe the materieals and comfort would be that different.

In response to the questions no I am not a salesrep for 3n2. i attended the recent NSA convention in Panama City and i saw the shoe. I spoke to one of the sales rep and he mentioned that the design comes from the NSA ASA and UIC umpires. They also informed me of a Plated shoe coming out in 2010. I just wanted everyone to know because I think this will be the best shoe on the market
