Color added my me- Sounds like an umpire to me, I know that is how I would refer to the UIC's. Troll Alert. Honesty is really the best policy Josh.

In answer to VA's question- He thinks it will be the best to sell more shoes.

Yeah, not only doesn't he know how to describe those leaders, but after two whole posts has two separate stories on how he learned about these shoes.

So, Josh, were you just web-surfing for an umpire shoe at the NSA convention? Did you see the shoe in person, or the on-line picture?

A plated shoe? Like what a knight would wear?

Hey, as long as it's black...

You guys are tough on a new kid on the block!

I'm a young guy looking at possibly doing some umpiring next year, so I'm
still learning. So, boards like this are great.

I did some research online as I didn't have a clue and saw the New Balance
and Spot-Bilt shoes you guys mentioned. In web surfing, I came across this
company which I'd never heard of. I had a friend sneak me into the NSA
Convention Tradeshow earlier this month and happened to see this shoe in
along with all the other stuff all the companies were showing. I've had
friends wear 3n2 turfs you guys talked about earlier, so I was curious. All
I know is it felt good in the hand and price was good. While checking their
booth out, they had a lot of guys stopping by it seemed. Can't tell you how
it compares to the New Balances or other stuff you guys mentioned as I
haven't worn them.

I haven't been around the block as long as everyone else, so I guess I
deserve to get my chops busted a bit. Just don't hold it against me hope
this helps you guys anyways.

We get spam regularly here from someone selling shoes. If you really are a soon-to-be rookie umpire, don't take it personally. If you really are posting spam for your employer, 10 points for persistence, and pass along that they either have one ugly shoe or they need to put up a more flattering photo on their web site.

OK guys, I purchased the 3n2 shoe while working the Underarmor tournament in Clearwater last March, except it was a turf shoe and the leather upper was not as smooth lether upper in the shoe coming out in December. It is extremely comfortable. I umpire, I also sell New Balance and Tanel shoes. I have ordered the 3N2 shoe to sell next year and I like this shoe a lot. I use it as my base shoe. New Balance has discontinued their 350 base shoe and their new base shoe will have a lot of patent leather and white on the shoe. If you get a chance to try it, give it a try, it does only come in a D width, however.

I wear a NB walking shoe. All black, very comfortable and comes even though I refer to them as triple wide, the label is marked 4 E. For my feet, a platform that wide is great.

ASA allows platform shoes?

Maybe if they're patent leather...

Mike, we must update your uniform. Give your shoes back to John Travolta and head over to Honig's. Immediately.

Screw green, it ain't easy being blue!

I won't be coming here that much anymore. I might check in now and again.
