You know, I have actually seen pitching plates made of wood. That means that there are wood and rubbers on softball fields.

You mean the rubber didn't break when that big ball came flying at it at 98 MPH? That's one tough rubber!

However, they WOULD be smart enough to give every umpire a $35 parking ticket for failure to pay the buck to enter the sacred parking lot.)

They may of thought it hit the pitchers foot or off of the pitcher and went into the air! Who knows what they were thinking? Maybe about a mercy rule and a cold drink on the way home!
