I use a Hoka Bondi and a Brooks Ghost. I like both. Both are light on weight, but the Hoka has more cushioning, IMO. Get a proper fit, and not just someone who's wanting to seek you a pair of shoes.

In my world of HS BB on this play, I agree with Raymond. After watching the clip, the net touch by the defender occurs first so the CC, IMO, would be GT.

I love this video. I found it by luck a couple of seasons ago. I review it each year at prior to the beginning of the season in order to get my focus into volleyball mode. It's a great learning aid.

My ear plugs don't have a filter. I don't wear them all the time only when it's a noisy gym (small gyms with metal roofs) or a multiple court event. My thinking is to use what works for you.
