Etymotic High Fidelity Earplugs, ER20 ETY-Plugs, Standard Fit Blue Tip, 1 Pair
Picture is kind of huge, but these are what I got. I like them because they cut the tone of the whistle, but I can still hear people talking to me or tips at the net. |

Same reason I like the eargasm. I'll give these a look.

Yes, of course - Luiswell Earplugs. I ordered them from Amazon. They came in a 12 pack for $8.99. They are corded, washable, and reusable.

12 for 9 bucks. The ones I posted were $13 for one pair. Big difference. Do you find that you use them a few times and then throw them out? I'm just trying to account for such a big difference in price. Mine have lasted several seasons, so I'm wondering how long the Luiswell ones last.

Same question. The price difference seems to be due to the lack of a "filter" and just relying on the plastic/rubber pine-tree-shaped plug to do the job.
I *think* both the eargasm and etymotic allow you to buy just the plug and to re-use the filter, reducing the replacement cost (but still not down to 75 cents) |

My ear plugs don't have a filter. I don't wear them all the time only when it's a noisy gym (small gyms with metal roofs) or a multiple court event. My thinking is to use what works for you.
