Ready to play or snap?

4th and 10 on k's 30 yd line. K97 punts as his team is flagged for illegal formation and the kick becomes dead in bounds. The penalty is accepted. What is thge sueceding spot and clock?

CANADIAN RULING:

4D/15 @ A-25.

If before the 3-minute warning, clock starts on the RFP.
If after the 3-minute warning, clock starts on the snap.

Incorrect. Even though we had a legal kick, no new series was awarded.

FED 3-4-2.

What caused the clock to stop in this situation? That will tell you the answer

yes exactly....

so tell me why it would be on the snap? there was no new series awarded to either team...the only reason it stopped was to award an apparent first down....that didn't happen...wind it up at least in nfhs

Yeah ... you have this backward. The logic in CT1's post is right but led to the wrong answer...

Fixed it. Reading is fundamental (but I would have done it right on the field!)

Thanks.

If the penalty is accepted, it will be 4th & 15 from K's 25. Clock starts on the RFP.

Of course, R can also decline the penalty.

Was there a particular piece that you were struggling with?
