In my games the varsity coaches are doing pretty well. Kind of so-so on Jr. High and JV.

Actually had a JV staff get upset when my LJ called a sideline warning on them. This was after 2 verbal warnings. Varsity coach was on the sideline and told them "Guys, it's just a warning."

But I haven't had an issue on any of the games so far, so I guess most coaching staffs do understand what they have to do now.

I am 6'4 240 and when I am working as a wing official on a lower level game I always tell the coaches and players to back up because I don't want them to get hurt when I run the over! It usaully get a chuckle and they move and stay back.

No, I don't believe they make an exception for October.

It was! I did HL on Otterbein at ONU on Monday and it was a cracking game. The weather got better as the afternoon/evening went on. Pizza afterwards in John and Toni's was excellent too.

Did some bird watching at Magee Marsh wildlife refuge and Mawmee Bay State Park today on the way back to Mi.
