Some causes are worth tilting Windmills!

Catastrophic cervical spine
and close-head injuries are
among the most devastating
injuries in all of sports. The
primary mechanism for those
injuries in football is axial
loading, which occurs when
contact is made with the
crown or the top of the helmet.
Whether that occurs
intentionally or
unintentionally, the axial load
mechanism or spearing
significantly increases the risks
of both permanent cervical
spine injuries as well as closehead
injury.
