It won't be worth much, because the enforcement would have been wrong.

It all depends if you are playing under NCAA rules or Fed. The codes are different.

FED Ruling - All But One Principle

The basic spot for a running play is the end of the run. This is the 'All' portion of the All-But-One principle. The 'One' is a foul by the offense behind the basic spot.

In this case we have a foul by the defensive the occurred behind the basic spot. The spot of enforcement is the basic spot (end of the run). Mark off the yardage and replay the down.

REPLY: Absolutely a Fed-NCAA rules difference: Previous spot enforcement for NCAA; End-of-run enforcement for Federation.

Same scenario: He (QB) gets his masked pulled while running from the defense, behind the LOS, then throws an incomplete pass. Then you have a loose ball play with spot of enforcement being the previous spot? Thanks for your replies. We are talking NF rules in Iowa.
