Throw in clarification, please

A1 throwing in, guarded by B1. After A1 releases the ball, can B1 legally reach through the plane and contact the ball before it even reaches the plane?

Correct. 7-6-2: "The throw-in pass shall not touch a teammate while it is on the out-of-bounds side of the throw-in boundary plane." That prohibition does not exist for a defender.

I'll take Zebra Quiz for $400, Alex

I don't see how #15 is a violation.

Still, in that situation, with a crossing pass coming off baseline, how many of us are getting that if the teammate of the thrower reaches across the plane a bit as he/she receives the pass?

Those who don't lazily leave the endline early and are familiar enough with the possiblity that they'd have an accurate "read and react" response to it if it happens.
I've never seen it, but I'm ready for it.
You?
