Thanks, as I read that, it's another wording of a rule that seems to leave a little doubt. The case play says "...the official should require the individual who has committed a flagrant foul to leave the facility of the court with an adult supervisor." The book often uses absolute words, such as "require," and then you read something that says should? Just one more thing for people with no life, such as myself, to nit-pick...

It is just emphasizing that you have that authority on flagrant situations. It isnt required. If you think allowing player to stay incites crowd, other team ....you should send him off with an adult they say. Giving guidance. If his presence wont incite folks he stays. Up to you as the official to decide/exercise discretion. thx

Thank you for this - I botched this the other night, realized it after the fact and was trying to find rules to support my notion that I had botched it. Intentional Foul = less paperwork!
