I can tell you I'm not no-calling this and I'm not calling it a block... Nor am I going with travel.
If I'm the L on this type of play it's going the other way too. This was a good call on a very big stage with a very big star. Steely of nerve. Does anyone have any links to the post-game comments? Clearly Pat wasn't impressed, not that it matters.I just wonder if our little bodies (as compared to Red 6 ) at the high school level can create this much of an impact in the air. Tough to get to the to-and-through threshold. One could argue that it wasn't met in this play either. That might be why it gets no-called a lot. Just my little big bang theory.

As seen in the other thread, contact with a vertical defender is very tempting to call a block. I just saw a similar play in tonight's CAA championship game between Delaware and William and Mary. I couldn't find the game on ESPN3, but the play is at 0:51 in the second half.
