1) call a timeout to keep A1 in the game if A1 is able, or
2) substitute A6 for A1, A6 will shoot A1's free throws - (here is where I am unsure) is A1 eligible to return to the game after sitting a tick depute being removed and another player taking his free throws?.
I know I have heard that somewhere, but can't remember where and if it applies to NFHS or not.
I'm curious; what makes you think any of this is incorrect?

The timeout to buy A1 in, removal after coach on floor to attend to A1, and A6 shooting A1 free throws I knew. The unsure part was A1 returning later after A6 has shot the free throws (and clock has properly started).

A previous (somewhat veteran) partner had told me he was ineligible to, and I had forgotten to look until the situation came up for me last night. I did not see it in the book but wanted to check with other people who have been around longer to make sure it wasn't an old case play or interpretation that showed that is how the Fed wanted it handled but didn't make a rule clear.
