Part 1 Test Question
Question:
During each extra period, each team is entitled to at least one time-out. T or F? I answered true, but they say I got that wrong, referencing 5-11-1. What in 5-11-1 makes the above statement false? What am I missing? |

In OT 1, if a team is out of TO's, then they are entitled to ONLY 1 TO. At least implies multiple.

At least means exactly that, a minimum of one. It could be more if they have carryover but they are entitled to a minimum of one per OT period. I'm not sure how that question could be false.

The statement is true. They get at least one, maybe more if they have some others left.
To say they only get 1 is wrong since they might have more.

I would agree but these statements are to be taken as is 100% of the time.
Saying they are ENTITLED to AT LEAST one is assuming that they have at least one extra carry over. If they have NO timeouts left then the statement is false. Therefore the statement is false because we are assuming that the statement is taken as complete truth. That cannot be true since we do not know, and the statement does not say if there is one carry over.

So, I get at least one, and if I have more, I can use them. But, I have at least one timeout.
I still don't get how this statement, as is, is false. I get what you all are saying, but the question needs to be worded better if they want to get it to say that. |

Yes, we also agree that it's TRUE.
