Waiting on a tech?

A makes a steal and has an apparent 2 on zero breakaway. B's coach issues some creative language regarding your parentage, earning a T.

1) Do you wait until the breakaway has scored before issuing the T?
2) What if the first shot is missed, but B team defenders are still not back and A still has another easy shot - wait still?
