Still Waiting

socalblue1,

Still waiting for the "facts" you "assured" us you would get about AMLU guys working college, summer ball and indy stuff. Is a week not long enough to "ask the individuals directly & post the information here"

Frankly have been too busy with work & travel to respond.

JUCCO play off games:

1. Assignors were short available umpires
2. Asked the three AMLU folks if they could assist
3. Several head coaches asked for these guys by name

Texas summer wood bat league:

Never bothered to ask. Moot point anyway.

Is that not what we have the right to do as umpires/officials? We are available. We are asked to work by the assignor to fill spots. Coaches and other entities recommend us to work the games and we work the games. I guess you cannot do that anymore. That is how these assignments are made in other college sports. You could have background at any level; if you are asked to work you work if you choose to. I have never seen the point about guys working games they have the right to accept.

Peace

Nice work Captain Obvious!

2 and 3 are correct, 1 is not.

We knew that much, the question is why did they accept these assignments when they said that they would not.

As you say, this is a moot point. The only thing that was lost is the trust in the AMLU statements. I guess the AMLU is the only entity who can blast someone else's integrity.

Hey Pot.....this is the Kettle.....You,re black!
