A lot is going to depend on your age and joint history. I had pain last season and ended up getting an MRI and arthroscopic surgery on one knee to clean up my meniscus. Three weeks of therapy and I was back pain free.

Find a good orthopedist that works with sports injuries.

Short of that...Advil and ice.

Be sure you are not using the Joey Crawford block mechanic...puts undue stress on patella
