True or False?

The official should hand or bounce the ball to the thrower for a throw-in unless the throw-in is from outside an end line following a successful goal or awarded goal.

BTW, I think the official NFHS answer key is wrong.

The addition of "awarded goal" at the end of the sentence throws the wrinkle.. e.g., after awarding a goal for goal tending, you may hand or bounce the ball to the thrower. Also, think of resumption of play.

I think it's false.

After a GT/BI call, I'd admin that throw-in by handing it to the team who didn't get credit for the score.

I answered False on the exam. The key stated it was True.

Glad I was right.

I would agree with you, think that the answer key is wrong.

That's an absolutely horribly written question, from a logic perspective. That technically states that the official is to EITHER hand OR bounce the ball for all throw-ins - and that for throw-ins following a goal or awarded goal on the end line, the official is to deliver the ball by some means other than handing OR bouncing.

I would imagine this is one of those questions, however, that is partially taken verbatim from a manual, though. Is that the case?

I have no issues with how the question is written...the answer is just plain wrong.

No.

Discussed before.

Consensus is that F is the correct answer and the key of T is wrong.

So, do you actually handle the ball after a goaltending call?
