True or False?
The official should hand or bounce the ball to the thrower for a throw-in unless the throw-in is from outside an end line following a successful goal or awarded goal.

BTW, I think the official NFHS answer key is wrong.

So Freddy is the only poster with an opinion??????

The addition of "awarded goal" at the end of the sentence throws the wrinkle.. e.g., after awarding a goal for goal tending, you may hand or bounce the ball to the thrower. Also, think of resumption of play.

I think it's false.
After a GT/BI call, I'd admin that throw-in by handing it to the team who didn't get credit for the score. |

I answered False on the exam. The key stated it was True.
Glad I was right. |
I would agree with you, think that the answer key is wrong.

That's an absolutely horribly written question, from a logic perspective. That technically states that the official is to EITHER hand OR bounce the ball for all throw-ins - and that for throw-ins following a goal or awarded goal on the end line, the official is to deliver the ball by some means other than handing OR bouncing.
I would imagine this is one of those questions, however, that is partially taken verbatim from a manual, though. Is that the case? |
I have no issues with how the question is written...the answer is just plain wrong.

Discussed before. Consensus is that F is the correct answer and the key of T is wrong. |

So, do you actually handle the ball after a goaltending call?
