You cannot see what he does with the pivot foot from the angle of the camera. The official of course has a different angle. Who knows if he actually got it right or not.

Legal play. Left foot is the pivot foot, jumped from it to simultaneouly both feet landing.

The left foot isn't the pivot foot...assuming this is a legal play, and assuming you believe he gathered the ball with the left foot on the floor, the player hasn't established a pivot foot and with him jumping off the foot and landing simultaneously he has no pivot foot.

Right, that's what I have.

So, of course, there's no pivot foot on a jump stop, but prior to the jump, what's a succinct and correct way of saying "the left was the pivot foot" (or is this about tense..."was" as opposed to "is")?
