I wanted to thank everyone for the posts and most importantly for the actual 'rules' references on the 're-set'.
This makes perfect sense in that in the event of the simultaneous 'held-ball'/shot clock going off & the offensive team getting the AP, then this would result in a 'shot clock' violation due to a 'no re-set' of the shot clock. Hence, you are not rewarding the offense by giving them a new 're-set'. Many thanks and Happy Holidays !
