Huh? Why am I the source of your sig line? That passage is straight from the rules book.

"The backboards shall be the same at both ends of the court. The backboard shall be one of three types: (1) a rectangle 6 feet horizontally and 4 feet vertically; or (2) a rectangle 6 feet horizontally and 3 1/2 feet vertically; or (3) a fan-shaped backboard, 54-inches wide and with dimensions as shown in Figure 1-2."--nevadaref
